HAPPY EASTER, MEESTER!
Yes its true, I’m just too excited to sleep. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and eats way too much candy for breakfast. I’m gearing up for a big trip to France to work with my friend (and yours) the incredibly talented Eric Mouquet on monday. Video blog coming after I stuff my face with peeps. Don’t even go there.

Well I have a cold again…which, of course, means that I’ve been staying inside, reading every book I have, writing letters to world leaders, and putting the finishing touches on some recipes I’ve been working on. Yep.
Lots of updates coming soon!

Chin up!

I’m home from grammy weekend! I’m EXHAUSTED. Ok first of all, I know some of you are sad that I didn’t win. I’m sad too but as I told her personally, its always an honor to share a category with the great Natalie Cole and I’m happy for her win. I’m also praying for her health and happiness in 09 and beyond. It”s not the first time in 9 years that I haven’t had a grammy on my shelf and I think its safe to say we’ve done alright. I continue to stare lovingly at my Most Promising Newcomer ‘94 jr. high award. Oh how it glistens!

Also, I’m feeling extremely relieved and fortunate for a very good reason. After I filled in for Usher at Clive Davis’s party (very honored to be asked and I hope Usher and his wife are alright!), I was rushed to my car without knowing why. Sweeney (my dog) was staying at a friends and something spooked him and he jolted out the door. I really thought I had lost him. We walked around the neighborhood screaming his name and eventually after an hour, miraculously he just appeared in the middle of the road a block away, running towards us happy as can be. I’m convinced he wanted to find his true coyote tribe but it was not funny to dad.

So anyway…yeah..perspective.

Overall this weekend has been a lot of fun and I thank YOU for the votes that matter, time and time again.

Off to work.
